The tournament hosts both singles and doubles in every age division (Boys & Girls 12, 14, 16 and 18).Ī total of 528 individuals representing 34 states were entered in the 2019 event. The top 32 applicants in each age / gender division earn entry into the tournament. The Allstate Sugar Bowl Tennis Classic is a USTA National Tournament. It is a USTA National Qualifying Tournament for female and male players ages 12 to 18 years old that reside anywhere within the United States. Due to COVID-19 and hurricane-related damages, the tournament had been on hiatus, but its fourth edition will take place in 2023. Sugar Bowl junior tennis returned in 2016 after a hiatus of nearly two decades. The Allstate Sugar Bowl Tennis Classic returns to the City Park/Pepsi Tennis Center (5900 Marconi Dr.) from November 11-13, 2023.
